Column maybe

This morning we had a sandwich with prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella for breakfast at a place nearby. We're staying near the university so a bunch of students were getting espresso shots at the counter. Then we set off for the colliseum and went on a guided tour. The tour guide was too quiet but we wandered on our own for a while after. Then we got lost on the way to the forum, and randomly found the tour group we were supposed to be part of. So we saw all of the cool buildings, Michael chased some pigeons (I think it must be a goal of his to get pooped on), and we made a bunch of puns about how the rain didn't "ruin" our day. To all of you who told me not to wear flip flops, my feet are dry and michael's running shoes are out of commission. I waded through a puddle and he went rock climbing from dry spot to dry spot. Overall a really cool experience, especially when we had to find shelter under a tree and watched the water flood a staircase. Oh, and there was a fish pond with one fish being chased and an older couple thought it was hilarious when Michael pointed out that the other fish were eating its face.

More later!
