Blogging from the gelato festival. We bought 5 tasters each for 6 euro. A taster is one ENTIRE scoop of gelato. Each gelato maker has a flavor to try, and they are judged by the judges and the people who try it. See pics below.
We are so full right now. We each had 5 scoops of gelato in a period of about an hour. Some we didn't finish, some unfortunately we did (not so unfortunate, really).
We tried gelato from all around the world, including Israel, and CANADA. The Canadian guy won for best gelato, it was a maple walnut flavour. He was sooo nice, in typical Canadian fashion, and took a picture with Michael after fist bumping us for being Canadians.
Michael just said "no more gelato for life" and then said "no no no don't quote me on that".
Then the best thing happened. We walked by Vivoli, and they had run out of their good flavour and was just giving out crema (this was not the best thing). For those of you tuning in now, Vivoli is the best gelataria on the planet No joke. It blew our minds. We've already been there twice. In 2 days (yes, this means that on top of the 10 gelatos that we shared, we ate another full one after lunch). So we look at the booth, and Silvanah Vivoli is standing right there. She is like a gelato God. So I told her that I love her gelato, and she gave us a taster on the house (oops, that brings the count up to 11). Then I took a picture with her!! And she explained what lemon caviar is, and we left and I GOT A PICTURE WITH HER WOW! It's on my camera so you'll all have to wait.
Best day ever ever ever.
Ps. When she explained lemon caviar to us (look it up it sounds really cool), she said its a lemon the size of a soposatory (spelling?). She awkwardly shrugged, and we all laughed. Her English was not so good.
